The Panorama Building’s boiler system was over 30 years old, operating at just ~65% efficiency and lacking system redundancy, creating a major risk if failure occurred. Summit Building Consultants was engaged to develop the scope of work, manage the RFP process, and provide project management and engineering design coordination. Environmental assessments uncovered asbestos, requiring abatement, and the below-grade location of the boilers made venting design particularly challenging. The project was completed under budget, and Summit added long-term value by implementing a chemical treatment and maintenance plan and addressing additional maintenance issues discovered during installation.
