The aging boiler system at Hycroft Manor had reached the end of its life, with efficiency dropping below 65% and controls no longer functioning. Summit Building Consultants was hired to develop a scope of work, issue an RFP, and manage the project. During early site review, we identified the need for environmental assessment, which revealed high-risk asbestos requiring abatement.
Complicating matters, the boiler failed completely during the planning phase, leaving the building without heat. Summit acted quickly—sourcing locally available 95% efficient boilers and coordinating expedited installation with contractors and engineers.
