Paul Ellis began his career in building maintenance & asset management, working in the UK as a mechanical contractor & site supervisor. There, he led supervision for complex plumbing & heating systems on large-scale projects, including recreation center's, hospitals, & hotels.
He later joined a local municipality as a mechanical inspector & quality assurance manager, where he reviewed HVAC & mechanical installations and ensured the quality of both new & existing heating & ventilation systems.
After relocating to Canada in 2005, Paul worked for a mechanical engineering consulting firm as a project manager, overseeing design-build processes for commercial, retail, & high-rise residential developments. He later helped establish an Energy & Plant Management department, leading a team that advised property owners on energy upgrades, mechanical system efficiencies, & commercial boiler replacement strategies.
In 2014, Paul founded Summit Building Consultants Inc., where he applies over 32 years of mechanical consulting & project management experience. His goal is to help clients across strata & commercial properties manage their buildings more efficiently, economically, & sustainably, through systems for maintenance planning, capital upgrades, Poly-B & Aquatherm pipe replacement, & full-scope project management services.
